Ethos Phone
Ethos is a collective believe of something which people all share and communicate with each other. It can be someone which is a social norm for a particular group or something which everyone finds synonymous with other terms. Consider the scenario where we tell our peers to go “Search” for something using the internet. Most people go use the diction of “Google it.” This has be come an ethos among the generation which has never been without the internet.

Relating this back to the app which have created for Windows Phone 8. Windows Phone has advertising which targets the personalization/customization of the phone. This often focuses on the start screen of the phone for the customer. If you see the video below it really emphasizes the personalization of Windows Phone.

Near the end of the video every one of the challengers end up showing their upgraded phone with the start screen in focus and then saying something like “this is my Windows Phone!” It is very creative, so my goal was to deliver a similar experience for Windows Phone users and give those users an ability to share with their friends and family.

That’s where ethos phone came from. I first Photoshopped a sample and posted it as my cover photo.

Shortly after I received some feedback asking if there was some available software to make this type of image. I then decided I would POC and deliver it to the Windows Phone marketplace. That goal has been accomplished and my current goal is fix all the current development issues which I know the application has an refine the experience.
